Prescriptions are taking longer to process due to the volume and staff shortages. Please allow 4 days for prescriptions to be processed and sent to your designated pharmacy.
Can all patients only request repeat prescriptions they may need within the next week, we will not issue repeats for 4-6 weeks ahead as you should have adequate supply and claiming these too early will cause unnecessary demand on pharmacies.
If you have a preferred pharmacist, you can go to them and nominate them as your designated pharmacy. Subsequently, all of your prescriptions will automatically be sent to this nominated pharmacy. Please note that some prescription items, such as controlled drugs, cannot be sent electronically.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
