Doctors
Dr Mick Watts (m)
MBBS (Lon) MRCGP
Registered in 1986 and works eight sessions a week. Dr Watts joined Datchet in 1990 and became Senior Partner in 2012. He is the practice lead for commissioning. Dr Watts is a clinical leader for The Federation of Windsor Ascot and Maidenhead Practices (F-WAM) which is a group of 16 local practices working on provider issues. He has been a key influence in shaping many local medical services over the years, previously area prescribing leader. He is currently sitting as GP representative on the Frimley ICS GP transformation working party. Mick is married with two grown up sons and a playful Cockerpoo dog!. He enjoys sport both actively and as a spectator, having run the London Marathon on three occasions so far, in 2003 as part of Team Flora, and again in 2005 and 2008. He has kyaked the length of the navigable Thames and cycled from one coast to the other of France. He is in training for a 200 mile cycle ride in the Loire Valley in 2018. He is a season ticket holder at Harlequins and follows Chelsea. |
Dr Nicola Wallbank
MA (Cantab) MB B Chir MRCGP DCH DRCOG DFFP LofC IUT LofCSDI PGCME
Nicola registered in 1992 and joined the practice in 1997. She works 6 sessions per week and has an interest in womens' health, family planning (including coil and implant fitting), antenatal and postnatal care and child health. She is a voluntary member of the Antenatal Screening Board at Wexham Park Hospital. Nicola is also a GP trainer. Outside of work she is a member of several amateur dramatics groups, enjoys playing tennis and attends trapeze classes at Circus Space. She performed in the 2012 Paralympic Opening Ceremony. |
Dr Asif Ali (m)
Dr Asif Ali (m) MBBS (London 2002) DRCOG DCH MRCGP PGCME (Male) Dr Ali qualified in 2002 from GKT medical school. He has been a GP at Langley Health Centre since 2006 and at Datchet Health Centre since April 2020. His clinical interest includes diabetes, joint injections, teaching, mental health and commissioning. He is a GP trainer, Named GP for Safeguarding Children Berkshire East and is also the Clinical director for Slough LOCC primary care network. |

Mr Andrew Windsor
Paramedic Practitioner Registered Paramedic HCPC, Member of The College of Paramedics Andrew joined the practice in 2017 following his previous role as Clinical Team Leader in London Ambulance Service. He worked as a lead clinician on frontline emergency ambulance crews. Having worked in Emergency Medicine since 2001, he has also studied minor illness and injuries at St Georges University and gaining varied experience in Walk In Centres. Andrew has been involved with a number of visits to Health services in Turkey, Poland and Croatia conducting joint training with the aim of sharing best clinical practice. Andrew enjoys sailing when he gets the time, as well as still working on the bank for Frontline Ambulance Services to ensure current up to date practice in this field. |
Mr Steve Hazard (m)
Paramedic Practitioner Former Paramedic in the London Ambulance Service which he joined in 2008. He has been with the team since July 2018, but also has experience of working in minor injury units and out of hours services in the Buckinghamshire area. Steve has experience of dealing with chronic illnesses and has completed advanced training in minor illness and minor injury assessment & management. Outside of work Steve is a keen softball player and coach who recently competed with team GB, winning the European championships. |
LocumsThe Datchet Health Centre now has a strong team of regular GPs (partners and salaried doctors). When these doctors are unavailable (due to holidays, sickness, their duties as trainers or other work on behalf of the NHS) we sometimes book locums. We are fortunate to have some highly skilled and committed regular locums who work with us. |

Jeanette Saunders
Senior Practice Nurse RGN RM
Jeanette has considerable broad nursing experience including child health, women's health, asthma, travel clinics and diabetic care. She is one of our highly knowledgeable Practice Nurses and a very valuable team member. |
Danielle Young
Danielle provides core practice nursing services and additionally runs an INR clinic for patients on Warfarin and is a valued member of our diabetic care team.

Angela Gbaja-Biamila
Angela is an experienced nurse who joined us in April 2015 after more than ten years in the Radiology department at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. Angela works on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. |

Rim Kennou
Practice Manager Practice management and the Partners work closely together to manage all business, administrative and non-clinical aspects to enable the practice to provide high quality care for patients. This includes human resource, finance, health & safety, facilities and equipment maintenance, information technology, and customer service. |
Reception
The reception staff provide an important link for patients and are the initial point of contact for general queries. They can provide information on appointments, medical services and results, as well as performing other duties such as arranging the issue of repeat prescriptions, will deal with prescription enquiries, financial claims, and patient records. |
Secretaries
The medical secretaries deal with all the doctors’ correspondence, including reports, referrals to specialists, as well as summarizing patient notes. |
Community Midwives

Our community midwives help to run antenatal clinics and classes and visits mothers with new-born babies at home. Clinics are run at the Health Centre on Wednesday and Thursday mornings. The team approach of the Riverside Midwifery Service offers women-centred care that respects, values and supports informed maternal choice. |
Health Visitors
The health visiting team work with young children and families in the community and offers developmental checks as appropriate. They can be contacted at King Edward VII Hospital on 01753 636523. An answerphone is available. |
