Foreign Travel Health Clinic

ARE YOU GOING ABROAD?
HAVE YOU CONSIDERED YOUR TRAVEL HEALTH NEEDS?
Practice Nurses Jackie and Jeanette run a travel clinic
at the surgery on Tuesday mornings. They offer an expert travel health
service and will discuss all aspects of your travel in detail. This can
only be undertaken effectively in person and unfortunately we cannot
offer this service over the telephone.
Please make an appointment with the Practice Nurse in the travel clinic
as soon as possible to discuss your needs, including vaccinations and
malaria prevention. Ideally this should be 6-8 weeks before you travel.
Please bring details of previous vaccinations with you.
This is particularly important if you plan to visit more than one
country or you plan to be away for more than one month.
Let the Receptionist know if your travel plans include more than one
destination or you plan to stay longer than 4 weeks so that an
appropriate appointment slot can be allocated. This will ensure that we
have sufficient time to properly assess your needs and give appropriate
advice.
It is really helpful if you bring your previous vaccination record
and a full travel itinerary to your appointment.
Please note that if you leave insufficient time before you travel, we
may not be able to offer you a convenient appointment.
As we strongly recommend that you seek advice before
travel, no matter how late, you can contact the local private Travel
Clinics if we are unable to help:

Masta Travel Clinic, Stoke Poges - 01753 662243
