Asthma Clinic
An Asthma Clinic is run by Sister Jeanette Saunders
every Tuesday afternoon. An annual review is suggested for all asthmatic
patients to ensure that treatment is appropriate. All doctors are happy
to review asthma during routine appointments but more time is available
for explanation and teaching in the dedicated Asthma Clinic. More
complex asthma patients can be reviewed by our Specialist Respiratory
Nurse.

Child Health
Our Health Visitor, Beth Mulcahy, will arrange
routine screening by appointment. Where medical checks are required
these will be done by your GP. Dr Wallbank runs a Post-Natal Clinic
every Thursday morning and initial 8 week baby checks are offered at the
same time so that your baby can be given their first childhood
immunisations at that point by the Practice Nurse.

information on your child's immunisation history. Please discuss any
concerns around immunisation with a doctor or nurse. Our Practice Nurses

Travel Immunisation including Yellow Fever Centre
A Travel Clinic is run on Wednesday mornings
during school term time by Sister Jeanette Saunders. Please bring your
full travel itinerary with you to your appointment so that accurate
advice can be given. Where possible you should also provide details of
any previous travel vaccinations you may have had.
Some vaccinations (yellow fever, rabies, cholera, meningitis ACWY and
hepatitis B) are not covered by the NHS and a private fee is payable.
Please book your appointment in good time – preferably at least 6 weeks
before you travel – to ensure that you are fully protected. As each
travel appointment is 30 minutes long it is difficult to provide
appointments at short notice.
